He saw the leaves, felt the cool air, and listened to the silent plea of the forest. He knew he couldn’t give up.
The Sparkle Found!
Bold Bear flew around the largest Sparkleberry bush, circling it slowly. He looked underneath, then over the top. And then he saw it! A very shy, little green vine, one that didn’t usually grow so tall, had wrapped itself right around the biggest, brightest Sparkleberry bush. It wasn’t doing it on purpose, of course! It just loved to climb and had accidentally covered the berries, blocking their special light source from the sky. The vine was so timid, it just kept growing, unaware it was dimming the forest’s joy.
Gently, ever so gently, Bold Bear used his beak and strong talons to unwrap the vine. It was a careful, patient job. He pulled and tugged softly, making sure not to hurt the vine or the berries. It took a few tries, but Bold Bear kept at it, his golden eyes focused. Finally, with a soft *plink!* the last coil of vine came loose.

A wave of shimmering light spread through the Whispering Woods. Pip squeaked with delight. Finley Fox bounded down his now-bright path. Ribbit the frog began to croak a happy song.
